Proper Studio Lighting
For this shot I had my friend just sit in front of the camera making any face he wanted. But for the lighting I had the main overhead light from the room on and a strong lamp facing the right side of his face. It made the right side of his face glow.
This was a cool shot. What I did was pretty simple. First I turned off the main light then I put the lamp through a window. So in the darkness the reflection of the light going through the window made him look really cool and it makes you wonder what he is thinking.
Another simple lighting picture. It is almost the same as the first one but the difference is that I had the lamp very close to him and I had turned off the main light. It really shows you how lighting can affect your photo.
Here's a contact sheet of the photos that I took that have survived the process of me deleting them by mistake.
